Okay, so I have heard about this seafoam stuff on my automotive forums that i frequent, but have never tried it.
This thread however, inspired me to give it a go.
I had a stihl weedwacker that had sat and wouldnt start without starting fluid, and once started, would run, but you had to be careful or it would die....other words it ran pretty rough.
I had a stihl chainsaw that did the same thing a couple years back and I ended up taking it into the dealer and paying 80 bucks for them to rebuild the carb.
So, I dumped a couple of ounces into the tank and turned it over a few times and then let it sit.
After about an hour I used starting fluid to get it started.
It ran rough as usual for about 3 min then it started to smooth out. I then began to idle, which it hadnt done in quite a while.
I set it down and let it idle for 5 min then picked it up and revved it.
I immediately noticed that it ran smoother...no question about it. It sounds great now. Like a new engine.
