Seat switch on 2310

I've been using a jumper wire on mine since about week 1. My dealer told me that most of their customers have the switch jumpered (although they did not condone this). To me, the seat belt serves largely the same purpose that the pressure switch does.

One thing I won't do is bring my seat in the house every time I park it in the winter.

What if you are too light like my wife?
There is a problem, I would love to have. :D

I guess I can not complain. To solve the problem I will add a switch to bypass the seat switch when I need it. I have had it shutoff on me when I was backing it into the shed while looking backwards.

(Whisper) Disconnect the switch, just don't tell anyone. if you do, you will bring on the rapture. (end whisper)

:D - Ray!

I'll be bypassing mine soon too. My 15 year old daughter uses my tractor on ocassion and as she hits bumps and bounces and such, the tractor will die.

There has to be a fix for this besides "by-passing" it. I am a firefighter and no one yet to date has ever and I mean "EVER" called 911 because they did something brilliant. I have been on some hills on my 2300 and even when I re adjust my seat for viewing I never had this problem, may stall for a sec while I hop on the seat but never seen it not work. Guys and for your "gals" sake find a fix before cutting it out as I have seen severed toes from a lawn mower and also seen what a snow blower does to a glove cover hand when inserted to a snow blower.

Yes, no one should disconnect the seat switch.

I am on my second switch which quit working durring the last big snow we had.

Yes mine is currently bypassed but I intend to find a way to make it work correctly in the near future.

BTW: I am quite confident it is not because I am too light.

I had to do something with the seat switch on my tractor because I couldn't run my PTO powered post driver. It would have taken someone in the seat and someone to drive the posts if I had left the switch the way it was. I put a push button on/off switch on the lines going under the seat. I used bullet connectors so that I could take the switch out and reconnect the original wires if I ever wanted to. I don't have a picture of it but I mounted the switch in a painted aluminum angle under the side of the seat so that it would be easy to get reach.

I just have to remember to turn it back on after use.
