Second Rear Remote Kit for DK45s

I'm the OP on this thread and this is a status update. MIE told me that the kit for the second rear remote (DK45s) was no longer available. I contacted Brian at Fit Rite Hydraulics and we began planning a double diverter setup. This would give me top and tilt plus a spare circuit that could even be plumbed to the loader, if needed. But the available space was tight so I felt I needed to make a wood mockup to ensure there would be no interference with moving parts. In the mean time I stumbled across an OEM Kioti kit on EBay ($300), probably from a former Kioti dealer that got stuck with it. What to do? I really wanted the double diverter but I still had installation (and clutter) concerns. So I bought the OEM kit because it was a third the cost (of the dual diverter) and made for a very clean installation. I have not had time to install it yet.

Still, I still see a need for a loader diverter for some time in the future.

Also, I took the measurements and ordered a hydraulic side link from Fit Rite.

I would like to say that working with Brian at Fit Rite Hydraulics was great. He made clever suggestions, answered all my questions promptly, and I think his prices are very fair. Brian's main problem is that he doesn't happen to have a copy of every model tractor ever made in his shop to use in designing installations.

I had the dealer put a second rear remote on my DK50 earlier this year while they were prepping it for delivery. I tried to get them to throw it in for free but the best they would do was an extra $100 to install the second remote. The only problem is the bracket for the rear remotes is behind the SMV sign. I had to bend the SMV sign out of the way to connect the hoses to the connectors for the center return spool. I will have to remove the sign completely to use the first set, which has a detent spool. I haven't needed to use the detent spool remote because I don't have the hydraulic drive hay rake or 3pt log splitter I was planning on getting yet.

Using a non-factory remote setup will probably give you different mounting options for the QD fittings, so that's probably a better way to go anyhow.

I have a 2006 45s, with no cab. That's a very different tractor; the SMV sign is over a foot higher and the remote QDs are right of center. Ignore the piece of cardboard in the photo; I was using it trying to find the best place for a dual diverter.

Scott, thank you for the kind words.

I also have a 2006 DK45S but with the cab. When hoses are hooked up to the remotes, the hoses interfere with hanging the top hitch on its bracket...the Kioti designers didn't think that through completely, or maybe they didn't expect anybody to be using the remotes without a rear implement in place?
