Secure Set

   / Secure Set #2
I think the post will still rot from the bottom? In the video they don't even show any rock or drainage in the bottom of the hole. I would rather have some kind of post protection in addition to the Secure Set. The product seems to be a pretty good application instead of concrete. Good luck, let us know how it went if you use it.

Tech sheet on their web site says the compressive strength is either 85psi or 140psi depending which product you buy. Those values don't get you anywhere close to supporting the lateral load you need on a pole barn. I can't understand how this stuff can be used for power poles and steel poles. Concrete has a compressive strength of 1000s of psi depending what mix you get. Soil will generally take somewhere between 1000-5000psi loading, so I can't see how this stuff wouldn't just get squished. Maybe I'm not understanding their spec sheet...
