I have a seed planter I need to sell. Can anyone help me. I only have pictures. Any information, pricing, manufacturer, anything would be appreciated. 20151002_170357.jpg

Welcome to the forum!

:welcome:

I've moved your thread over to the attachments section. Maybe someone over there will know.

The opener boots do not look correct for a Deere/Van Brunt drill. But can't really see them in the picture. However if it is a Deere drill they where pretty good about casting their p/n on items that where made of cast. Look for #'s on anything cast (like the flat chain sprockets), Deere # series from this time frame will be alpha character followed by 2-4 numerical characters then maybe another alpha character. It won't be newer than about 1950 or so, I think.

It's a grain drill that has been painted in John Deere (JD) colors, but I'm not sure whether it's a JD.

If you don't have any luck here, try posting over at Yesterday's Tractors - Discussion Forums.

Good luck.

Steve

That grain drill you have looks a lot like my Minneapolis Moline P3-6 drill with a JD paint job (even upside down). Not saying it's not JD. Just looks suspicious.

I restored two of those MM drills. Bought them from a neighbor for $275. Put about $300 in the restoration.

Your drill looks real nice. I used mine to plant Kanota oats.

Good luck
