I'm thinking that's what's going to happen. For now everything is back together, and once it warms up a bit I'll run the tractor to temperature to make sure there's no air lock and check for leaks.

After you fill it, leave the cap off of the radiator and gently squeeze bottom and top radiator hoses, that should push enough air around to get rid of any air locks and get the cooling system ready to go.
I might leave the radiator cap off for the first few minutes after you started just to make sure that if it works any air out you can replace it with coolant.
