Selective forum/category selection

On one of the other v bulletin forums I visit you can select the forums or categories that you want as a default. When I go to the main page all I see is what I have chosen. This makes it a lot easier viewing and less time searching through different forums just to get to a category[example Kubota~Kubota buying/pricing]. This is just a add-on to the edit options page under miscellaneous options. I would think this would cut down on bandwidth and make navigating/reading easier. I find a lot of times I just want to view one category in a forum but have to open the whole forum. Although not a big deal I find I miss posts because of not bothering to open a forum just to get to one category. Am I the only one with this thought?

You are not the only one. There are at least two of us, that would appreciate that feature. I believe we had it, at least for awhile, with the old forum software.
