Self Propelled Dump Trailer

The neat thing about the Equipter is being able to raise it to roof level. You can also drive it to a larger dump trailer and raise it to dump over the side of the trailer.

We always use wheelbarrows in the roof up to a certain pitch and park the trailer close enough to the house to throw the refuse in. Or nail on some plywood hanging off the edge of the roof as a shoot with legs if need be. If the pitch is too steep for a wheel barrow we stack and tote just like bundles of shingles.

The equipter would be nice but we have multiple guys on multiple sides most of the time so not really the end all be all. Sometimes it’s just better the old fashion way. I’m a young guy saying this. I embrace technology any time it saves time or labor. But somethings look good and end up costing you more in the long run. I see the equipter as being one such item. The buy in price is crazy. I can own a fleet of dumpsters and a delivery trailer for that money and be miles ahead. Sometimes you spend more time and money trying to save money than you would if you just get to work.

Maybe one day I can buy one just because. I regulate stuff like this to a tax write off purchase. But I would buy the fleet of dumpsters and the trailer first much more in line with what I need than the equipter.

I've never seen anything like either of the two. The little one - kind of a very niche application.

So I have homes in a few parts of the country. n

Down south labor is real cheap. Just visit the side of Lows or Homedepot and I can get a bed load of shovel techs. ~$60 for a full day of work each.
Up north, they do not keep Shovel Techs or Manual laborers at the home stores. So, I'm forced to higher "White" people. White people are very proud and demand a higher dollar. It can cost ~$80hr per laborer up north. Almost makes it worth it to transport the guys I can pick up at the home stores down south.

So I can see a self-propelled dump trailer selling very good up north. But down south, where labor is cheap, it can take decades for a trailer like this to pay off.

Still, would be cool to own one. :) ( the trailer )

Saw one working across the street from me last summer. I've seen them around but not in action before that. It was pretty slick. Not sure of the cost/benefit ratio...but...sure does reduce the labor.

Labor is becoming a problem everywhere. Even the immigrant population is starting charge normal labor prices for here. If you want to make money learn a trade. Very soon I believe you will be able to make a great living. Tradesmen are retiring and there is a small force to replace them. We are hurting for labor in the construction industry right now. It’s at the top of everyone’s list. I could double my profits next week if I had more labor. The work is there but we have no one to send to do it.
