That is an awesome price. If you are in the market don't let that deal go. You could never find a new bx24 for that in this part of the country.

Just priced a new 2007 this morning. Tractor loader, backhoe, R4tires and 8"bucket in Ar and they quoted me $14,800 plus sales tax. Hope this helps some. big dan

Joe is right, not up here in the Northeast....

I bought mine about the same time Joe did here in CT. and I paid $16,200 for the BX24 TLB, MMM was another $1,600....

It's very rare for people to buy these for a project and then sell them afterwards, even though that is probably often the original intention. You're a stronger person than most if you can do it! Just be careful that you don't wind up with seller's remorse.

Actually buying one to do a landscaping project then selling it is quite common here in Massachusetts. I'd say that BX23s are one of the most common tractors to be sold through the Want Ads and Craigs List up here and they are usually just a year or two old. The economics of such a strategy works very well when you consider that the depreciation is not bad at all on these machines and the costs of professional landscaping vs your own sweat equity or more appropriately non sweaty seat time. I'm not certain but the depreciation is very slow, maybe $1000-1500/year due to lots of other guys with similar projects in mind looking for a neat all in one household sized TLB)
