selling your tractor online instead of trading it

Yeah CL has always been good to me, you just need to include your phone number and almost completly ignore the email. The phone number separates the scammers pretty well, most are from over seas and can't speak English so they never call. I carry my gun when they come over usually, but DEFINATELY when purchasing. I don't go somewhere with that much money and not have some backup, and another person with me if possible. Best part about it is CL is FREE!

I bought my B3030 from an individual in 2003, the tractor was three years old and had 300 hours. He had it advertised in the Kansas City Star newspaper. I paid $9900 for tractor and 60" mmm. Always washed and shedded after each use. it was in perfect condition. I was in Iraq at the time and called and talked to the guy's wife. A few days later my Sons went and picked it up. When I got home I couldn't believe how "new" it was.

Today another great way to check someone out is Google. I bought a Jeep recently and googled the guy and saw pictures of him before I even met him. Felt a lot better driving into downtown Kansas City to meet someone with cash in my pocket.

If trading with a dealer I know that he will profit from my trade. I accept that. Just sometimes I don't want to be the one giving him the profit. No offense. Just business. I'll sell my L4400 outright and then buy a replacement, no trade.
