It was a stator for Cliffside Steam Station operated by Duke Power.
Total weight for the load was estimated around 1,000,000 pounds if I remember correctly. That was for everything. Trucks, trailers, load, etc.
It was so large that there was a crew going ahead and removing all cables and lines that crossed the road. Then another crew went ahead and put extra supports under some bridges or on some they would actually build another "bridge" to cross an expanse. Then another crew was dedicated for nothing but changing tires that had blown out during the day when the caravan stopped for the night.
On this particular load there was always 2-3 trucks pulling from the front and 2-3 more pushing from the rear. Each axle of the trailers was hydraulicly adjustable.
This load came from the sea port in Charleston, SC and went to Cliffside, NC in Rutherford county about a year and a half ago. It took them a couple of months to make the move. I wish I could remember all of the specs.
