series 3100 increase the forward travel speed!?

i adjusted the linkage. ran it at full throttle and locked the full forward speed pedal at full extension. counted the rpm's. took 4 samples. average 105 rpm. calculated 6.637 mph. i'm still fully completely dissatisfied. angry too.

the problem persists. am looking forward to making some progress. i've been considering increasing the engine rpm's from 3600 up to 3700 or maybe even 3800 to get the forward travel speed up to the rated 8 mph. wondering what the consensus on that action is.
