Glad things worked out. I've followed the thread, but didn't comment as (1) getting involved in a computer issue when you can't get your hands on the computer to play with it, or get to it via "remote desktop" (which is how my son and I solve my wife's or daughter's frequent computer woes), is a losing proposition, unless the problem is REAL simple, and (2) if your computer boots to XP, and you can get on the net except for certain sites the problem is not going to be solved by router/modem reboots or XP system restores unless your net site password files got corrupted/infected (but, then, you should have been getting a screen prompt, or some very large bills on your VISA card placed by some folks frpm Ethiopia or Russia). So, a local network router issue - - at least they fessed up - most tech supports would deny such.
