Server Downtime

Hello Everyone,

This morning sometime before 5:45am Mountain Standard Time, our server stopped responding. While it was still up and availible via Traceroute or Ping programs, nothing else was responding.

We rebooted the machine and everything is running properly. There were no immediate errors availible, but we will keep our eyes open and look into what caused this.

If you notice anything out of place, please let me know.

I noticed when I finally could get on this morning, 8:45 Am, some of the subject liens open up immediately and a whole bunch don't open at all. This category for instance took 94 seconds to open, I still can't get Kubota/NH/Deere any of the six categories, to open.

for some strange reason I just ried the categories that wouldn't open up before and now they are opening fine.

I found them not responding at all at 5 a.m. CST; checked back about 5:30 a.m., got Countrybynet, but not Tractorbynet, and a few minutes later, neither responding again.

You need to now call it Server SLOW time.

Since the server came back up yesterday, the time to get the list of posts to display is painfully slow. Is anything being done to try and correct this problem?

To narrow things down, I'd like your opinion...

Everything seems quick as normal. EXCEPT for the searching part of the site, right?

(Ie: 6, 12, 24, etc hours, the "Search" function)

If that's the case, that narrows things down _greatly_ and means just something is wrong with those tables. This isn't that bad.

I'd say that is a correct statement. I'm surprised no one else has brought up this delay issue, for viewing in the "Past X Hours" is the BEST way to use this site, rather than trying to jump from Forum to Forum to find posts.

I was yesterday and still am today experiencing the "slow server time" and I also use the "past X hours" as you do when checking this site

I'm not using the "past x hours" but going down forum by forum looking at the "new" posts and this morning it sometimes changes pages in fractions of a second as normal, and sometimes takes 20 to 30 seconds.

I've been using the same as Bird, and also have been noticing a severe slow down. Some forums come up quick, but others take forever or not at all. The NH & Kubota forums were really slow, but the Projects forum was fairly quick.

Thanks for noticing. I thought it was time for a change. That picture was taken at the Maple Lawn Farms Corn Maize up in PA. It was a beautiful blue sky day!

I believe this picture portrays me more accurately the way I normally look when I am working on my property.
