Setting T posts with FEL

Honestly - I do not see you pushing in T-posts with your FEL as a one man job. It's going to be a path towards total frustration. You need to secure, at least, one helper. THEN - build a pounder like TractorGuy shows in his pic. You could load up the T-posts in the FEL bucket, to transport around the fence line - your helper holds the pounder - you load them into the pounder and guide them to the exact location. Your helper pounds them home.

I installed all 650 T-133 posts around my 80 acres. Pound in all the T-posts along one side. Then string and tighten the wire. Then go along and at each post raise the wire to the appropriate height & attach with a wire tie. One LONG wire at a time - four wires. My 80 is - - 1320 X 2640. It took me a year and a half to complete the fence. Evenings & weekends. I even have a few locations where no tractor or ATV could reach. Everything carried by hand.

My pounder is not as fancy as TractorGuy's. Mine has no side handles. Just a very heavy 4" metal pipe with a large round steel blob welded into the top of the pipe. My pounder weighs 42 pounds. If I NEVER have to use it again - one of my MOST happy days. I think my fence took years off my life. If not - it certainly left permanent scars on my hands & forearms. Fortunately, this was all 38 years ago.

Typically if I am putting up fence I am also putting in wooden corner posts or gate posts. If I have to put in wooden posts I am most often using my shaver post driver which will also do steel tee posts.
