Setting up and using disc mower

I have bought a old gmd 66 kuhn disc mower and wondered if anyone could tell me the tricks of setting it up on my tractor and any operating tips? Mine did not come with a chain set up and I am not sure how it works if it holds the load of the mower instead of the hydraulics and it has a regular drive shaft with no overrun clutch is that ok. Any and all help would be appreciated.
