The paper work is signed and the excavator has been delivered. I am waiting on the HKX hydraulic kit and Denis CIMAF 125D to arrive, hopefully next week. I am going to try and post pictures of all the installation.

Here is the machine, a 2005 Daewoo 175 LCV with 800 hours, 118 horsepower with 80 GPM total flow for the machine. That's Tom in the picture, he is the mechanic at the dealer I purchased the machine from. We were just checking over some things and adjusting the tracks.

I have about 20 acres of mostly hardwood in the 7-10 inch range waiting for this machine....

Congradulations. Very good looking machine. You may never go back to your ASV. Did you get the hyd door? I can honestly say it is fun running a mulcher on a excavator. How are you going to move it?

Hi Robbie, thanks!

No, I did not get the door.

Even when running my small excavator I can see you just don't get as beat up as being in the skid steer.

The ASV has cost me $9000 in breakdowns and Fecon teeth so far this year..I just can't make a decent profit (or any this year) with that machine.

I had purchased a 38,000 lb machine so in the future I can get a truck and 20 ton tag and move it myself. For now it will be hired out to a friend with a lowboy. It is 9'2" wide, I had hoped for legal width but this was a deal I could not pass up and the wider stance should be better for mowing, stability and float. For now, this will be only for bigger jobs so I can justify the moving cost.

I will be selling the Mustang 6003 but keep the Brushhound. In the future I will rent the same machine when needed. When I look back there are only a small amount of jobs I really needed the Mustang.

The ASV is going soon too...I still am unsure of what to replace it with. Takeuchi TL250? Tired machine CAT 272?? Gehl 7810??

you are going to love that machine with the 125D on it...who is coming out to do the setup? david? or gilles? or perhaps my twin brother Robbie? ;) for a replacement on the RC100 you should look at the PT100 Forestry..I know its the same brand but a totally different machine...tho I do like the TL250 as well

nice looking rig quikdraw, good luck w/ it and the new mulcher for it. are you going to trade the asv in or sell it? if selling it i may be interested in it, as i'm doing some extensive clearing of some over grown fields around my familys farm, and the chipper and chainsaw take forever.

Good job Q it looks like a big machine compared to the asv, & you have another excavator?
Keep the pictures comming & good luck!

at 118 hp you be getting about 40gpm to the head. to keep the pressures up you need your service mech to take almost all the flow from the track circuit. on hard wood you will need to keep the teeth very sharp, try to eat all the stalks you can at first before you get into the dirt to eat the tops, also try to keep the tops to your right so you can feed the butts into the right side of the cutter to keep the head out of the dirt. Ryan - I'm not sure who will be coming down, I am only about 6 hours from the factory.

Mako - Thanks for the tips, I'll do my best.

Still waiting for the HKX kit and head to show up!

I missed working tuesday since the ASV blew a drive line...another day missed.

Not that it's much help but I have a DAH-100D sitting on my trailer. I think you will like your setup.
And yes it sounds like it's time for the ASV to move along. Even though the Cat has it's problems the 262/272 high flows with over the tire tracks I think would mulch fairly well and keep the track issues at bay. I have run one with over the tire tracks and the VTS and liked both. I like the VTS a bit better but it has a significant price increase with it.
