Setup charges?

Well after doing all the math I think they are giving me a really good deal on my trades. Which is making up for the price of everything else. Even if I got say 15% off MSRP and I take that number off the value of my trade I think I would still be happy. What do you guys think my L3400DT with loader and backhoe with 415hrs and a B2710 with 72'mmm are worth on trade?
I would say to forget about what they are "worth on trade". Just figure on what you might get if you were to sell privately and subtract that from what people here say is a good deal on the new (10-15% off list); and maybe pay a few hundred more to save the aggravation of private selling. I think you are worrying too much about the manner in which the deal was presented to you, when really you should only be concerned with the bottom line net $$ including sales tax implications, if any. Apparently the word on these boards is that it's not too difficult to sell clean used Kubota equipment for top dollar. If you can work with the local dealer to your satisfaction that's probably your best bet.

I see you are in NY. Doesn't NYS calculate the sales tax due, if any, on the NET price after trade-in allowance is taken?
Whereas if you didn't trade in and sold private, then you would owe sales tax on the entire new purchase amount.
I think so, but that may not be the case in all states.

This is what I decided to do, after some thought I decided I'm happy with the bottom line plus I did get my dealer to work with me a little more. I also did not have to deal with all phone calls and tire kickers with my old tractors. I will post some pics of the new one when I get it!

You have the price from them. Now contact Barlows and see the difference between them delivered to your door. Barlows has always given me good prices for my trade ins plus discounted the price on the new equipment.

One way or another they include the costs but as John said you may want to check with Barlows. They brought my 5100 all the way here for a LOT less than the dealers 20 miles from me (and I would have picked it up). They were great to deal with and very fair on everything I had added on the machine.
Good luck

+1 for Barlow's. They delivered to East Tennessee and I could not even get close to their delivered price at any of the local dealers. I'm talking about $1500 less on an L3940.

My advise now is to go forth with your deal and stop shopping or comparing prices or any "if only or what if". You say your happy with your deal and that's the objective, you've reached it so STOP!!!
Congratulations on achieving your goal and locally. I'd pay $200 to maybe $300 more to trade locally but not much more.

Yes I decided to go with my local dealer. I did try a couple other places but could not get a better deal plus I'm only ten minutes away from this dealer. He has the tractor and loader but we are waiting on the accessories and attachments. I will post some pics when it gets here!
