PB, thank you all for the compliments. I do have a few more pictures....mostly of machining and fabricating the subframe.
Eddie, those clamps are referred to as "K-Clamps" and are commonly used in the Tool & Die and Mold Making Industries. Kant-Twist is a brand name. They are very handy in that the handle or screw does not get in the way. That is unlike C-Clamps, they are to the side of the clamping area/force and not on top/linear to it.
Gary, I used a standard radius cutter to machine the 5/8" bar stock. I think this one was 1/4"R. to fit the inside of the tube.
PineRidge, my wife is the greatest! Loretta helped me all the way and for sure I could never have positioned some of these pieces without her holding them for me. Also, she handed me all the tools or torch and rods while I was under the tractor so I didn't have to crawl out everytime. She saved me a lot of pain.
Here is a picture of how I jack-scew clamped the 5/8" bar stock into the tubes before welding and drilling.
