My 'trick' is to raise the rear hatch when backing up in tight spots as well as when I hook up.

I'd say the weight is holding them there. The two other straps are holding them to the frame, the third strap is just helping to hold them upright.

I see 3 straps and an "A" frame? Looks like most of the counter top guys around here, although I think I would have gone with a long bed...........

I think its real. I bought the smaller 1500 gallon version and it was amazingly light. I doubt this one weights 500 lbs.

Yes, friction and weight would be part of it, like anytime you are carrying something in the bed or a truck with the tailgate down. Two straps appeared to be around the A frame and one across the top of the slabs evidently attached to the tie down points at the fron sides of the bed.

That truck was squatting pretty good and the weight raised the front end everytime they started up from a stop. It rocked the truck back and forward stopping and starting in congested traffic.

I got ahead of them and they made it 4-5 miles down the road and I saw them exit. That thing was unsafe.

One strap. Guess its fine till it breaks or comes loose.
