I think its real. I bought the smaller 1500 gallon version and it was amazingly light. I doubt this one weights 500 lbs.

If it isn't half full. :)

If you look down the right side bed rail, either the bed rail is crushed down, or the tank would have to be bowed in. The lines of the bottom of the tank don't line up with the lines of the top of the bed rail. Like I said, color me skeptical.

I can't speak for all tanks but mine was so light and flexible that the side of the tank could easily crush in like that if it were strapped down hard - like a plastic milk jug except without getting a permanent crease. It was easy to move the tank into place working alone. I doubt that truck is bent.

Kinda related - this is the Hauling Things Wrong thread - Bozo who delivered my tank ignored my directions and got trapped in a one-way downhill orchard haul road he couldn't back out of because it was raining and slick with mud. I eventually pulled his too-big trailer out of there after considerable effort.

I posted a few photos of that adventure in this old post where someone had a similar problem. Enjoy!

The 2500 gallon tanks often weight LESS than 400lbs, and have some give (especially if warm) so the photo being real would not be shocking at all.

Anybody else notice the JD going the other way?
Lol, it took me a bit to figure it out. I thought it was on the side of the road parked at first. Was trying to figure out what had turf tires in it & was that big. Made so much more sense scale wise realizing it was closer on a trailer.

Re Joecoin in post 10077, I would say the photo is real. These tanks do have a lot of bend in the side wall. I wonder if he thought about low, power/ phone wires? The load is probably over height. There better be no or little wind to, or expect random invountary lane changes.

Commercial tank haulers (in New Zealand) use ballasted trailers to beat the wind, carting 1 - 4 tanks makes for a huge sail area.

That is exactly what I thought... while I don't see it would be a weight issue, it just looks like it didn't fit.

I moved a 5000 gallon poly tank with my 18 PJ trailer... rolled it right up the fold-down ramps and used the back roads to transport 15 miles... my involvement was the loan of my trailer to move it from my neighbors son's home to my neighbors...

I guess that you could say that, then call yourself an optimist.
I saw an F150 pulling a 32' travel trailer that squatted about like that (Ranger?) While an F150 could probably handle the load if properly set up, this one wasn't; the springs weren't even arched in the right direction. I waited to see which way they were going, then headed off in the other direction.
