Well, yea, but he put together receiver adapters like tinker toys such that there is tremendous leverage against the receiver. One good jerk and it would pretzel.
Yep, the upper connection on the adapter that they are using is intended for a bike rack or something similar, not a gooseneck trailer.

On his own property for sure, but not on the road. Amazingly he's actually using a receiver, not something just bolted to the rear step like some other posts here!
Ya, but the background looks like he's on a freeway. I'd do similar janky stuff at 5mph on my own property if I needed to, but never on public roads.

But using two of them, with one in the reverse direction offsets and negates the forces. Same as the upper hitch being upside down, it is actually lifting up on the hitch. :hypnodisk:

Saw something today I don't ever recall seeing before. 40' or so enclosed box trailer (no idea what was inside) 'porpoising' down the road at 70+. Maybe bucking bronco would give you a better image. The front of the trailer was bouncing so hard on the fifth wheel that it was rocking the front of the cab. I don't know if it was overloaded, improperly loaded, or if the truck just had really bad suspension.

Been a long time since I really wanted to get far away from a truck ... quick.

I followed a tandem axle dump trailer through town hauling a good sized JD tractor almost as wide as the trailer. The loader was raised up over the tongue, the box blade extended out the back so that the barn door tailgates were at 45 degrees; a 1" nylon strap was all that kept them from swaying in the breeze. The only thing I saw holding the tractor on was an old nylon strap across the box blade. To top it off , one tire on the driver's side was slack while the other was almost flat.

But at least the trailer lights worked.

This guy passed me doing about 75 today on the way home from work. It looks like he has a little bit of tongue weight on the trailer. ;) So much so that the read mud flaps were dragging the ground.

With a little more lube, I'm sure that Massey would have slid right in there.
