My self and two other drivers were pulling oilfield pipe to Ok from La and dead heading back to La .After unloading one of them put a Tonka truck on his bed with a bungy cord. Ok scale house hit him with a $257. Ticket for unsecured cargo. No sence of humor
I can verify that Oklahoma DOT is without common sense, humor, intelligence. I have had one run-in with them that turned out with my F550 being tagged down for 12 hours in the middle of nowhere. Officer was completely unprofessional thru the whole ordeal.

I got behind this the other day, the rear chain had quite a bit of slack in it, I was sure praying that the front chain was tight, atleast I didn't see it rolling back and forth any, Though as I fallowed it a few miles, I happen to about something I never thought of before,
( what if any one of the tires went flat on a pc of equipment after chaining it down, what would happen?
Looking at this pc. of equipment, if either one of the rear tires were to go flat that chain would become even more loose,

I don't think there is a binder on that chain.

There appears to be a ratchet binder behind the left wheel.

When I haul my tractor I hook the front chain as short as possible then back up until the chain is tight and put a binder on the rear. Haven't lost one yet.

Ingersol Rand never made a telehandler under 10,000 lbs and judging by the width of that machine, it's not their smallest one. That one (at a minimum) weighs in a 12,500. That load should have four attachment points with four separate binders.

I think that goes for all DOT employees. They are about as funny as a good case of gonorrhea.
