Over the last 33 years, I have seen my share of not friendly dot officers, some with no sense of humor, some with a power trip mentality. Worse and best cases often are determined by what "they think" you are up to, versus what may actually be happening. Shutting trucks down in out of the way places seems to be a favorite. I got shut down on the side of I-40 going thru the Gorge, for not having my glasses on. My drivers license didn't require glasses, and the two week old medical exam card was mis-checked to require glasses. I asked the officer to read the sign a few hundred yards down the road, which he couldn't... and I could, but didn't matter. I ended up having to stop work and re-route back to Florida so I could get the card fixed. Dr was apologetic but that didn't help my paycheck. Another in Ga found a receipt for lunch in my truck that didn't match my logbook. I had no idea where it came from, and with nobody else in my truck, he just through the book at me with a bunch of "made up charges". Took me three weeks to figure out where that receipt came from, and the next time I was in that scale I tried to find him, but LUCKILY for us, he had retired. Good riddance is all I can say.
