My 3500 dump had a light but it doesn't work. The bed raised is a lot more obvious than a little light. My trucks also don't drive right with the PTO engaged.

I would think the truck would't "feel right" when driving towards the road with that bed raised that high

Mine is only a 1 ton dump. I could probably drive under the power line with the bed raised. The PTO doesn't let' the transmission shift right and makes a squalling noise.

I never realized it but the phone line has a pretty thick wire cable weaved into it
Recently a LTL truck tried to turn around in our neighbors parking lot and the Frontier line was below 14 feet, and he hooked it
It took down 1 pole, and cross arms on 5 more poles

Is it weaved in, or tied on? I know with CATV and CATV Fiber they generally hang the data wires off of a metal cable by wrapping a light wire around the CATV cable and the cable (they have a neat machine that they pull down the line and it wraps them together).

I took down a line across a road while tailgating gravel. It shouldn't have been there....

Yep, the guy was pissed, but the line wasnt legal to be there, too low across a public road.

I have took down several phone/cable lines. They seem to put them up a little low on the back roads and a cotton picker will get them, especially if you put it on the low boy. You can see them coming and hear them pop. Just check your mirrors, if they are not dragging to far behind you, keep riding.

We got one with the harrow a few weeks ago.

I wish I would have gotten a pic but it was all I could do to avoid a wreck.

I was heading North in Florida out of Orlando when I came up on a 90's Ram 1500 pulling a standard 16' utility trailer. If you know this stretch of road it's always got construction.

Anyways, I was in the left lane about 1/8th of a mile back and I see sparks and everyone around me checking up. Next thing I see is the truck exiting the highway to the right, through the ditch, and go into the trees about 10'.

Apparently what happened is the frame gave out right at the Cab/Bed. The truck hit a transition between new pavement and a bridge that was being reconstructed and it folded.

The driver did a good job keeping it fairly straight and out of other drivers way.
