I was surprised the trailer recovered each time from the fishtail and he didn't roll it. Definitely took it to the edge.

Nothing wrong or illegal with that here. Done it personally for 1000's of miles.

Main thing is both trailera must be registered, have working light's, and be no longer than 65' total.

Many states require active brakes on the rear trailer and some on both regardless of weight registry.

Yep.. some states allow double trailers.

Don't the states that allow double trailers only allow them when the front one is a 5th wheel type? I have not seen a second trailer behind a bumper pull front trailer before.

We pull a jet ski behind a 38' boat all the time through 4 states. We also pull a second trailer behind a 18' bumper pull trailer.

Most states that allow double trailer pulling require that the first trailer be a 5th wheel hitch. Very few states allow double bumper pull hitches. I'm honestly not sure if ND allows it or not, but if they do, the front hitch has to be rated for ALL the weight of the combined set. Look at his front hitch.

BTW, the reason for the pic, which I guess no one noticed, is neither the push mower, or the zero turn mower are tied/strapped down in the rear trailer.
