Did anybody catch gold rush last week? Obvious Toyota commercial built into one of the segments,
Tony Beets was hauling in some equipment and one of the trucks "didn't have enough power"
so his daughter hooked onto it with her Tundra and pulled it thru the rough spot...

I'm a tundra owner, (on #5 now) but it was a bit uncomfortable to watch that ad,
reminded me of the space shuttle tow job toyota did

I think that's just a perspective thing. What I see is a big ole' truck pushing a Tundra UPHILL with nothing but a chain to push it with.

Unless the tractor broke there's no reason it couldn't pull that load by it's self, but makes good drama TV

Personally I thought it was a lame, mindless attempt by a auto company to sell vehicles to gullable consumers, much like the ford ecoboost thing on ice road truckers 5-6 years ago

Hmm, any time the chain is lifting the rear bumper UP while your pulling its going to be a lot of lost traction. Even if it is 4 wheel drive. Did a real impressive job of not spinning any tires.....

Have logging trucks overturning all the time around here. Even IF the loads are properly secured people still find a way to screw up! (even "professionals")

Pretty obviously negative tongue weight..

I had a lumber trailer that was about neutral. Above 45mph got scary quick. Went slow, made it fine. Big part of it is not over reacting when stuff does start to go down.

Kind of a textbook case of what you instruct others not to do. Probably quite a pucker moment when the fishtailing started and when he hit the brakes and flipped the vehicle. Good job strapping the load down, however.

Is that a vehicle door stuck under the front of the trailer? Probably a story to tell there as well.
