New one on me today.









This is a motorhome, pulling an SUV on a towbar (flat towing), with a Skeeter bass boat hitched to the SUV. Sat next to them at a previous light before we got on the highway (we just got on in the pic), and that front tow bar didn't look any bigger around than my thumb. Didn't see any breakaway chains on the front tow bar either.

No idea if this is a legal tow here. I thought "doubles" had to have a 5th wheel hitch as a front "trailer" hitching device.

Yeah the good 'ole days. I miss my dad putting down the rear seat in our Ford station wagon (could hold sheets of 4' by 8' plywood with the tailgate and glass closed). Anyways, my sister and I would slide around the 'rink' when we went around corners.

Naw- it looks like they have to drive with it open- I bet that those metal bars extending over the bumper form some kind of clamping device to secure the hitch to the "tow vehicle".

You're so right. My brother spent quite some time there...the stories were amazing. One I remember he said he was waiting for a train standing on a platform, people pushing so hard a few fell off just as train pulled in...with some guy impaled on one car, piece of metal sticking out.

Watch some you tube videos of dudes in India putting up scaffold. Makes my butt pucker. They are 50 stories up walking on 2 pieces of pipe laid on top while sling up more pieces. Couldn't pay much either.....

No wonder some countries produce such cheap products. Safety costs being one reason when lives there have no value.
