As you should. They were endangering the lives of others had the guy slid off onto the road.
They were doing burnouts on a state rd. There were several people standing along the road taking videos. At least 2 trucks involved, maybe 3. I thought 1 was going to run into me.

That must be the next step in the evolution in stupidity, as there is a story on Drudge about a series of streets in LA being blocked off for burnout competitions.

The guy on the roof's last words - "hold my beer".

When we were younger and dumber, one of the college summer interns I worked with used to ride the woods roads "car surfing", standing on top of his buddy's van. Of course there was alcohol involved.

It happens here often and just about anywhere... the smoke from the burning rubber can be seen for miles... plus the roar from the engines is deafening.

Plenty of sideshow activity from surface streets to the freeways and even on the bridges...

But burning wood for heat is illegal because it's polluting?

Yep... happens every winter.

Sideshows are simply individuals creatively expressing themselves

When I worked for a Large Government Agency there was a kid from another agency in a wheelchair. His sister eventually told us what happened to him, and also that the same thing had happened to their cousin more recently: Annual family get-together, at the grandparents' old homestead way up in the backwoods of the lower Sierras. Family tradition to get drunk and go joyriding on the dirt fire trails, with steep dropoffs. Wheelchair kid got his back broken when they rolled the pickup and he fell out of bed then was hit by the truck. Younger cousin met the same fate a couple of years later, same circumstances. Same consequences.

We were told this story when the guy I worked for at the time lost his wife's little sister a similar way in the same steep region. He was too decent to admit it but I think he then realized he was deeply in love with little sister. My only clue was he said they both smoked (tobacco) and that they had held brief but deep conversations when they had stepped outside to smoke during family gatherings. He was a broken man after that death. We essentially carried him for the subsequent years I worked with him because he never fully regained normal good humor.

Kids, don't drink and drive. Especially don't drink and drive crazy on unmaintained fire trails in near-vertical country.

This happened sometime in sixties. My family has a cottage by a lake surrounded by about two hundred cottages. Neighbor's 15-16 years old son with two friends was driving neghbor's Renault 4 around the dirt road loop. In one place there was a shallow gully across the road where they tried to make the car jump. The friend sitting on the back seat flew forward, hit the rear view mirror with his forehead and landed back in the back seat. They made few more loops and returned to the cottage. His friend kept sitting on the seat. He was dead. He had small injury in the middle of his forehead that killed him. Needless to say the cars at that time had no seat belts and driving license age was 18.
