Saw this one on the way home tonight. He does have a chain and binder going straight across the back of the skid steer, but he has a cargo strap running through the front of the gooseneck frame, around those 3 cardboard boxes, and then around the quick attach frame on the front of the skid steer.
Many many years ago, I had a trooper pull me over on one of my bikes. He seemed real happy as he approached saying you have to have snow tires or chains to be on this road! He was very disappointed when he realized the back tire was indeed a winter snow tire and he could do absolutely nothing but let me go. That crabby cop lives right next to my brother in law and still hates me to this day! Because I was. Hellion and he never did get me for anything!

Saw one today, but it was coming at me and we passed at 100 MPH difference, so no time for a picture. One of those portable buildings on a loboy trailer. Kicker was that it had a porch attached, so wider than normal. To fit on the trailer, they had it centered, which meant the building portion was offset quite a bit, way over the side of the trailer. Centered by width, but I don't see how it could have been weight balanced. I wish I could have seen it better to see how they compensated for the weight being so far off center or how they had it tied down.

Hard to see but
Front chains so loose their Laying on the deck.
Front wheels of unit about a foot from front rail.
No tie downs on back of unit.
Attachment not tied down at all.

I like a picture of something in motion going down the highway. Otherwise, the situation at a particular moment "might" not apply to any safety concerns.

LOL, I guess I should taken the picture as they pulled off the highway to the fuel pump. Or perhaps followed them back onto the highway and took a picture.
On second thought getting that in motion might qualify for being the subject of a post. Hmm...

I might take the lazy way out sometimes, but if I'm going to put one chain on a piece of equipment it's going to be in the BACK, but hey, what do I know? It's not like I have learned my towing skills from experience or anything... hauling stupidly random farm equipment as dense as possible to reduce trips has been a 3+ time a year thing for me for the last about 4 years... I've gotten better at hauling random junk
