Yep. Mine does too. 2018 Model.

2020 PJ rated at 9,999 with 2 5200lb axles. Brakes on 1.

Trailer brake requirements seem to be widely ignored. I bought my 7K trailer used in Indiana from a dealer and it had no brakes. I made them put brakes on one axle as part of the deal. After a year or two, I added brakes to the second axle because it just didn't feel like it had enough braking.

KennyG,I wonder if the trailer brake requirement is for licensing to the owner not a manufacturer standard. Just like the guy with the new PJ trailer with 9999 weight rating can only be licensed as a 5000# trailer in my state.

I couldn't imagine pulling around 8,000 lbs without brakes on all trailer wheels. It just seems like good practice to have brakes!

I used to do something like that. However it was only 8ft drywall, leaned over the rollover bar on a 81 Jeep Scrambler. Set 4 8ft 2 x 4's on the roll bar and inside the tailgate. Then slid the drywal up and in. Only had about 2 ft above the cab of the Jeep. Tied securely to the roll bar. Only on surface streets from the old time box store. Jon
