There was a video of that truck driving along and getting stuck up on that house. They lost control or something, and the way it flipped up was just really bad luck, I'd say. I think it was a couple years back and also posted in this thread, but no idea when.

I never heard the term hydropole before. To my anything with hydra or hydro implies water. These look like electric poles. Is it another name for a fire hydrant? Just curious.

You're likely right, though I think the town (Alban) is in Ontario, so Ontario Hydro.

The beginning of the video says Sudbury .com news.
Sudbury is a smallish town in northern Ontario known for generations as a major nickel mining community.
Hydro in Canada refers to any electricity supply (hydro-electric, whether it's produced by hydro generating stations or not).
There were coal generated hydro plants as well but mostly shut down in Ontario). Also a slang for anything source of electricity.
I.e. "the hydro is out. Someone must have bounced a truck onto a house and took out the pole".
Major cities would have "Ontario hydro" as a supplier, rural areas would have a different corporation called Hydro One.
