Washington couple wreck travel trailer 20 minutes after purchase

Shocking crash photos taken Tuesday afternoon in Washington state show a couple's brand new travel trailer scattered in pieces along an interstate.

Doh. So a dealership let them drive away with grossly improper tongue weight? (No WDH maybe?).

The article repeatedly calls the camper "brand new" but anyone who's ever payed attention can immediately tell that is a 15+ year old camper. The aesthetics haven't been like that on anything new in a very long time.

I own a campground and still get surprised by what people consider a tow vehicle. I've towed cars and their trailer up a little hill on our road because their tow vehicle could not get started up the hill in dry condition.
Wet condition in grass and any tiny uphill will stop that 2 wheel drive open diff truck you brought. Same for motor homes. Their not "stuck" just spinning their one tire and then the clay takes over. I've winched many with a Honda rancher (nose on a tree) or "towed" with a BX. Funny to watch folks when you pull a Class C out with a little ATV.
Hate to bring the truck out just to nudge them 2 feet.

That things gets around!. This photo in your link is at Burning Man, a gathering in the Black Rock Desert 500 miles north of Las Vegas. Apparently its another 'Art Car' like in the background.

I wonder how they transported it to Las Vegas.

Usually you see those leaving the auto auctions, not dealerships.
