I guess a good example why you should always chalk your tires.

Chalk your tires? Do you write something on them, just make a white line? Sorry, I knew what you meant, autocorrect probably helped you.

If it was 4 wheel drive put in that. In his case, maybe drive forward quickly?

Yes, chock tires, in 4x4 w/E-brake, jacks or blocking at rear corners of trailer, or ramps that have the support legs. The guy could really move after he did his tuck and roll as he chased his truck! (y)

I just set the parking brake on the trailer and truck and be done with it. If on an hill, I also put the truck in gear and 4x4.

Same as the milepost info labelled on roadside paddles at each culvert, or stenciled onto guardrail and bridges. Obviously important to some responsible party, but not the general public.

Still used on CB for accidents/backups/etc. Back in the day (70's) was used for "bear" reports pretty extensively. "Breaker Breaker you all got a comedian mounty takin' pictures at the 172 & the bird dog just barked at the 190. Other than that, last I seen was a bear in the air between the 90 and 125 yard lines... come on"

Comments say it was 2wd, needed to have chocked the trailer tires, or keep going forward once it started rolling to get weight back on the truck tires.

I assume the only reason the truck rolled away cause the tractor on the back of dove tail lifted the back of truck in the air a ways. An e-brake on truck only applies braking pressure to the rear axle brakes. You can pull the breakaway pin on cheaper electric brakes trailers but I'm sure not a lot of folks do that, I just carry a few old 4x4 "chocks" in my truck and tongue box of trailer.
