Interested in part 2 of that ambulance. I bet someone's insurance company had a few choice words. As well as someone's boss for lack of rigging.

My bet is the driver was sent packing as well.

And in the Northeast they're also Eastern European.

That ain't just the northeast. I've had serious communication issues with some drivers who have come to our yard for a load.

A guy I know has a small business with a warehouse.
He was having a trailer load of stuff delivered.
Truck shows up and stops in the parking lot.
Driver comes in ( a recent immigrant and holder of a driver's license ) and says they can unload their delivery.
Friend says not from the parking lot, back it into the loading dock.
The driver spent the afternoon trying.
Friend can drive 18 wheelers but made the guy try.
Ended up taking the load back and sending another driver the next day.

We had a guy pull into our yard at work. He was in the wrong place and needed one of the locations behind us that is accessed by a side road.

He asked how to turn around in our yard

This greatly confused me since we have 7 acres of asphalt. The yard is set up so you literally drive in a circle to exit.

After some back and forth the guy still couldn't figure out how to turn around

At this point I completely lost my cool with him and said "Look..... I'm not a CDL driver, but I can guarantee you that even i can drive your truck around this whole yard with out hitting anything!!!"

"Drive down past the end of the hose racks, swing wide to the left, don't hit them, drive back this way again and exit the yard!!!!"

When I was running doubles, I had dropped my trailers and dolly in the street, pulled my loaded trailer from the dock, dropped that one then grabbed one of my empties to drop it at our reserved dock. The lot was just big enough that I could pull in with a pup then back in to the dock. That left one door open.

Another truck with a 53' had pulled up. The driver had seen me pull in so he tried it. Failing that, he asked me to dock his truck. He looked like Bob Marley, lol, you know where I am going.

I was not going anywhere with him in my way so I said that I would help him. No 4-ways, he backed into the busy street, it was dark. I pulled my truck out and parked it. I got him lined up about 30 feet from the dock and told him that he was on his own.

I had hooked up my dolly and second trailer and headed out. He was still trying to get within the posts when I left.

It's going to sound like an over-reaction, but stuff like that can kill someone. Glad that didn't happen, here.

One of my grandmother's was taken out that way. She drove into the side of, and basically under, a semi trailer that was backing across the street with no lights in the dark. It didn't kill her, but she was basically immobilized after that. It ended her independent living, probably 10 - 15 years prematurely.

I used to know a businessman who hit an unlit trailer killing his girlfriend and almost him. The driver was backing into a motel off of a busy three way road. This accident was at least one that led to the reflective strips that you see on trailers today.

I may be wrong but I think that the DOT bumper came about after Jayne Mansfield was killed when the car that she was in hit the rear of a semi in Louisiana?
