Had a 2615, loved it. Very reliable.
Traded it for a 4530. In 29 hrs, I've had a coolant leak, oil leak, hydraulic fluid leak, bad instrument cluster, shifting problem and now, the bolt that holds the throttle cable to the hand throttle has fallen out. Other than that, It's been a good tractor. Other than the instrument cluster and leaking fuel return line, the rest have been QC issues from the factory, I guess torque wrenches are optional.
Luckily, I have a very good dealer.

Before my 6520 was delivered, I went over it with a fine tooth comb. I had a list of "squawks" that the dealer fixed before delivery. It pays to have a good dealer and a close, working relationship.

Hi everyone,

Please Share your experience with mahindra tractors, its operating patterns, which model u use?....

Mine is a 2008 Mahindra 5525 bought new (55 hp engine, 45 hp pto 2WD, partially synched tranny 8F/2R, power steering) with the ML250 FEL (6-ft wide bucket, 2950 lb lift to 10.5 ft height), skid steer quick attach on the FEL bucket, triple rear hydraulic remotes (dealer designed/installed, $700). Total cost: ~$19K.

Approaching 200 hours. No problems to speak of. Just do the normal maintenance and try not to abuse the machine.

The tach and fuel gauge pointers sometimes stick on the home position in cold weather so you have to give the instrument bezel a hard slap with your hand to get these gauges to read upscale. That works most of the time. Annoying, but not a show stopper.

Good luck

Greetings all,

I have a Max 25 with a FEL and a Backhoe. In addition I have Blizzard 54 inch rear mount blower.

I ordered the machine with the mower deck and bagger but the set up had a few issues and the vendor "Klems" really went the extra mile and helped resolve all the issues. I cant say enough about Klems.

Outside of the dealer plugs, I have about 800 feet of road to blow and the blizzard rear mount works awesome. I initially wanted a front mount set up but the sales folks convinced me that having the FEL attached comes in mighty handy when blowing snow and I am glad I went the rear mount route.

I have used the back hoe to pull a few smaller stumps and I excavated the soils over my septic tank cover to replace the risers that have failed (4 foot down, clay and rock) and I have excavated a few trenchs as well.

I have about 50 hours on the machine and I have yet to have any issues (outside of the deck and bagger that I returned).

At this point in time, the machine stands as my best expense outside of my motorcyles.....

Best regards,

Joe

3016 Shuttle - more lifting power than I expected, quick change for bucket to forks is handy. I was pleased with it until I broke part of the 3-pt stabilizer $170 replacement part - then broke the other one, both while bush hogging - cheap metal. Right now it won't start - see other posts from other owners. Front bucket bent while loading dirt/rocks. Dealer closed up without warning a short time after purchase, dealer did not have filters for oil change - had to order - I found out about the closing when I went to purchase oil change stuff - planning ahead luckily. Mahindra cust. ser. responded to my complaint - said some would be in touch - several weeks ago, wrote them again two weeks ago, no response. There are no service manuals online as with many other tractors. I hope others are having a better experience. I've only put 170 hrs on the unit. Check other manufacturers for higher quality steel, I wish I had paid the extra for a better product - live and learn.

I had a 2615HST. 3 cyl Mitsubishi diesel for 10 years. (15 series was replaced by 16 series) When I purchased in 2004 it had higher lift capacities than competitors models. I used it lightly for those years mainly plowing snow in winter and general yard work in summer. Only problems I had was glow plugs and timer replacement and internal leak in the loader valve. Valve was replaced while under warranty. I had purchased the factory service and parts manuals which I do for many vehicles I own. I thought it was built very solid and a great tractor. Just upgraded 1 1/2 months ago to a higher HP cab model. Would have stayed with Mahindra but price and included options were a major factor. I thoughts parts were rather expensive but the same is true with any tractor parts. In all I had a good experience with Mahindra.

I have a 4035 shuttle that had some problems with trash in the tank when new but other than that its been a very strong tractor, My dad and brother run Orange tractors and they have had their share of minor issues also:D. My experience with Mahindra has been a positive one so far as the dealer bent over backwards solving the issues with my tractor. The trash in the tank ended up to be drill shavings from the plastic fuel tank a good washing and vacuuming took care of it.

5530 4x4 other than sensor issues and a cracked fuel line. 4x4is a beast! If I had it to do over I may have looked at another brand, for the most part it's great.

I have a Max 28 XL FEL, MMM, BH and it was one of the first dealer models when the line was released. I complained on this forum about having the 48" bucket instead of the advertised 54" bucket after my dealer said it wasn't upgradable. I got a call from the regional sales rep within days of posting and he ordered me the 54" bucket and had it shipped to the dealer. The only real complaint I have is the MMM forces an excessive amount of debris into the grill so you have to stop and clear it or you over heat. The air filter also pulls air from in front of the radiator so it gets dirty fast. I will say it has been a great tractor and continues to amaze me on how much it can do.
