I needed something to move some Allan Blocks. I searched CarryAll and saw lots of very nice units made by the likes of JDGreenGrass, CompactTractorFan, GeneralLee, Folio, and many others. From the info given I decided to go with the $130 TSC CarryAll Frame which is rated for 1000 lbs. Mine is super simple. I will add stake pockets later for fire wood. I used the TSC Frame, 2 pieces of 2X12 10' pressure treat, and 14 1/2" X 2 1/2" carriage bolts, lock washers, and nuts for a total of $170. The deck is 4'-6" X 3'.
The Allan Blocks are speced at approx 75 lb ea. The trucker said that he figures closer to 80 lbs. So I put what I figure is about 1000 lbs or more on it to see if it would take it. (12 blocks and the still wet pt lumber). It did not flex or bend. However, I was little leery of traveling over bumpy ground with that 1000 lb cantilevered load without reinforcing the the area around the lift pins. There is just not much meat there. So I backed it down to 10 blocks to make the trip around the house to get down back where the wall is going. Made several trips without anything breaking. I will beef up the pins when I get a chance.

I think the price went up. I got mine for about $100, IIRC.

Thanks - I remember when you posted your project and they were $100. I almost bought one just to have around yours looked so handy. But of course I waited til I really needed it. Prices are never down when you need something. :laughing:

I have one like that. I lowered all three attachment points 9" on mine. I built my platform 4' wide. And made several 3' square pallets out of green treated 2x4s. They are handy to just pick up and go.
Makes the platform almost tail gate high when up.

My tractor will only lift about 800# of 3pt pay load, but with the platform up I have had as much as 1600# on it with no problem.
With something like that you need to be careful of not picking up the front end of the tractor.

Thats a good idea lowering the attachment points to get more lift. I was going to move the top link attachment point forward a little anyway. That way I can get a steeper dump angle from the hydraulic top link.

We are almost ready to close on 10 acres of land so I recently started looking at tractors and related equipment. I was surprised to see a "carry all" frame is sold. I am 37 now and back when I was a kid my grandfather had a similar setup that was fabricated out of 3" pipe with just a piece of plywood for the floor. Moved alot of stuff with that. Safe or not, we rode on that alot as well. Glad to see there is something substantial on the market when I get ready.
