The 2 seconds is what I consider an overall time. i try to make my move smoothly.. and take about 1.5 seconds or so to be gein engaging.. and then as soon as the first movement starts, use the other hald second to finish engaging so as to not wear the pto clutch.. In any case.. you have the same 'new' style trans setup that I do. My 1975 5000 has the old style.. no guide.. easer to move.. etc.
