about the only thing that will even slow down a cutting torch is stainless steel, stainless is very difficult, nearly imposible with some alloys, to cut with a torch. reason is that cutting torches cut by heating the metal to its kindling point then blasting it with oxygen which makes the metal burn,oxidize technicaly, and adds heat to help the cutting proccess, the problem with stainless is it can take more heat than regular steel and also it doesnt oxidize as easily so that of course makes it not cut well
