Unless I figured wrong. It figures out to $1.09 a quart. Good price.
I need to double check my math. 220 quarts of oil , I dont know where I got 2 bux a quart from. early stages of geriatric senility I guess.

if you don't mind moving a 400 pound barrel around and have the room , it's not a bad way to go.

like I said previously, it can be used in cars and gas pickups, lawnmowers and whatever else.

I noticed that it had gone up significantly the other day at my local Advance Auto Parts Store. I think that a gal was over $8 but their branded Coastal blend was only $6.95 per gal. Guess which one I purchased?

The 15W-40 is selling here at Wally Wolrds for $9.33 a gallon! ( Kind of a weird price??)

If the oil you purchased meets the new CJ-4 spec that explains the price increase. CJ-4 oils will cost more than the previous CI-4/CI-4 Plus spec oils did.

Rotella T is rated CJ-4.

But I have seen alot of stores that do not have it on the shelf yet. They still have CI-4 for sale, at least until their stock runs out.

With the increase in oil prices why have synthetic prices nearly doubled?I can not believe that it is demand. Please correct me if I am wrong but I can't imagine the majority population switching overnight.

Isn't that the truth! Does that smell of a bit of opportunistic pricing to you, or what?!

I pay a little more for my amsoil ,but I don't see where it has doubled in price. The price increase for amsoil (I was told ) is due to material cost increases, packaging materials, shipping cost of those materials due to fuel cost .

Dino oil has just about doubled in price but i haven't experienced a similar effect with syns.

I'd say the price of synthetics has went up a dollar at the most

to be honest, its a bargain.

I was paying 4 bucks a quart for it in 1993 when I made 13 bucks an hour, and I'm paying 5.50 for it in 2006 when I make more than double the salary.
