Shooting Bench

Nicely done. For now, I'm just using a folding table an chair. Once I figure out where my permanent range is going to be, I'm hoping to build something similar. Thanks for sharing.

Beautifully executed and sold as a rock. A year or so ago I built a shooting bench of pressure treated wood but only for right handed shooters....sort of selfish now that I see yours....:laughing:

We have one at our deer camp made from a Stanley workmate table and an overturned 5 gallon bucket! It's surprisingly steady and it's portable. I have a 8" and 12" AR500 steel plates hanging from chains as targets. You can shoot from up close to 560 yards by moving the shooting table to a new location.

I must have used the same plans a few years back. I made the legs longer though so I could set them in the ground. Yours looks much nicer.

I did mine like this because I didn't want a permanent bench in my yard. So if you have one of these.


You could make you own bench top, I can go from nothing to range all set up in 30 seconds.

I am considering building a SB similar to OP's but with a pallet like base so I could move it around with FEL forks. That way it wouldn't stay out in the weather.

Here is my shooting bench project. I modified some simple plans I found on the internet. I made it 48" wide vs 36" and I made it three legged vs 5 legs.
