Hi everyone, I'm thinking I need something to lift heavy things up to my 4'x4' work bench. I really would have loved to get my generator up there to service it, but I just can't lift what I used to.

I'm thinking of something like a lift table. It needs to be low and able to lift a few hundred pounds. I know harbor Freight has some, but very curious what all you ingenious folks have come up with.

Thanks
Dave

When I read the title, I thought of shoplifting, but not auto theft. :ROFLMAO:

There are mechanical with spring and there are hydraulic cylinder types. Pros/Cons to each. Evaluate the size and heaviest item you believe you would ever need the lift. This would great determine the mechanism to choose.

There's the 1000lb motorcycle lift from HF. Little pricey at $550 - $600. Long enough to act as workbench also.

I have a hydraulic lift table. The issue I have is the top sits far enough off the ground that I still have to lift things onto it.

Engine hoist, but you can't keep a pile of junk under your workbench.

I have that lift. It's pretty great, very stable, and pumps quick. Not sure how far yo ucan extend it, but at least 3-4' wide if you're moderately careful.

I bought the lift table from HF that has a 1000# lift. Handy as a shirt pocket. I use it daily.

Luckily I’m still able to get up from sitting down on the ground. I have a couple of pads that I use and just get down on the ground to work on stuff. You just have to think ahead and get the tools out and on the ground because it sucks if you have to keep getting up. I get it though, I always have the urge to not have to keep bending over.
