The real test Ram 2500 and it did good.
My dad has a Rotary 2 post rated at 12k. My brothers and I purchased and installed it for him. Between him, and my brothers there is ALWAYS someone using that hoist. One of those things we did without for years, and once we had one, we’d never go without one again. 2 post works better for what we do.
That pic shows a 2 post advantage, ie. when a vehicle body has to be off the frame job. Four posts have advantages to just depends on uses.My dad has one in his hangar and I have used it many, many times! Here is a pic where my son and I installed an overhauled 5.4
I won't be able to do that with mine unless I get real creative. but that's pretty awesome. My dad has one in his hangar and I have used it many, many times! Here is a pic where my son and I installed an overhauled 5.4

That's one of the reasons I went with the four post but the mobility was a bigger reason. I replaced the swivel wheels on one end of the lift and now I can move it in and out of the shop without much trouble using the tractor of course.I have put in 2 engines and 4 transmissions on that lift. I would like to put a lift in my shop and will go with a 2 post but will likely need to put in some footings as I think my floor is only 4”.
They are okay to be installed outside, in the elements? A carport overhead would be nice...First picture I was still putting it together and the second and third is the first lift of a vehicle.
shhhh don't say that out loud I plan on using that excuse to add on to the shop. They are okay to be installed outside, in the elements? A carport overhead would be nice...
