shopping overload

Lately all of the brands have upped the anty on warrenty work. It's good money for any of them to receive EVEN if they did not sell the tractor.

Also talk with the dealers and let them know what you have found. I looked at the NH locally and the dealer was a jerk. I called a NH dealer just over the PA border and he offered to come to my location and fix / pick up the tractor for no fee.

I wound up going with Massey because of the local dealer and their reputation.

Hope this helps.

The Kioti is out...very nice tractor, well built, but after a thorough test drive today I found it to be quite uncomfortable for me. The HST peddle is to close to the centerline and to far back for me, 6'5" and size 15 shoes. I have to keep my foot twisted inward and pull my leg back until my heel is up against the panel below the front part of the seat to operate the HST peddle. To put pressure on the reverse part of the peddle I have to twist my body to the right so I can push down with my heel. Ideally for me, the peddle needs to be moved forward at least 6 inches and outward a few inches. Yes, the seat was all the way back.

So I guess I have narrowed it down to the AGCO ST25 (gotta find a better price though) or the B7500...Or just get the **** ST30x and be done with it! Plenty of room, no hydro peddle and lots of (too much) tractor.

Ender,

Thanks for the update on the Central Oregon tractors. I used to do some ag work in the Sisters/Redmond/Bend area. I planned on checking out these dealers when I moved back to Oregon in 2004. Your comments were helpful. I agree, the dealer will be an important part of my tractor buying equation.

Not to complicate things for you but since you are looking at the AGCO ST30x why not look at the Massey 1428v? I believe they are compatible.

I see you are in Maryland and if you are not opposed to traveling about an hour (not sure) then call Smith and Sons in Marshall Virginia (800) 248-3301 . I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

My three cents....
