You could have my dealer.
He had a ck3510 with backhoe and 18 bucket. We work out a price and he adds arm rests and floor mat. Tractor is delivered a few days later, the 18 bucket has been switched out with a 12 bucket, only one arm rest on the rh side, and no floor mat. The driver doesn稚 know anything about it.

The dealer said took the bucket and floor mat put it on another unit he sold that day. He said Kioti only had a rh side arm rest, so you only get one. I told him to get an 18 bucket and floormat and asked for another rh arm rest and I would make it work on the lh side. He ordered a bucket and mat, but said no to the arm rest. He said he would sell me one at cost.
When I go to pick up the arm rest, they want full price $120 dollars. I talk to the owner, he finally agrees to cost and shipping $ 80 dollars.

A few months later I brush hogged my fuel cap, I know that sounds hard to do, I go to get a new one its $ 57 dollars and about 4 days to deliver. I ask if he could take one from one of the units on the lot so I could keep working. He says no that it would be too much paper work to do that.

The tractor had a recall and when it comes back there is a good size dent and scratch on the side of the hood. It looked like they hit the loader when they backed away. Dealer refuses to replace or repair the hood. He did say he could touch it up. I took it to a local body shop and had it repaired and painted for a little under $300 dollars. I took him the bill, but he refused to pay. He did agree to pay the day after he received his small claims court notification.
Id be glad to have your dealer.

Scotty,
I didnt buy from local for two reasons, the first was because he said he would be losing money if he sold at the price I asked. Which I believe to be false because: He told me all dealers pay the same price regardless of volume, many folks claim to pay less than i was asking, and the price i was asking is the price offered to me off the bat with quote attached to email body I pasted in my post above.
I felt like the local dealer salesman maybe wasnt being honest, perhaps even appealing to my kindness. 展ell i dont want you to lose money? I have been around many industries and i know it sounds bad but With salesmen, these are the only people that i presume dishonest until I see otherwise. The salesman at the Kioti dealer was a down right awesome honest guy, i REALLLLY wanted to give him my business, it hust wasnt the right machine for me. They are an OLD school dealer my dads farm use to purchase from, standup operation.

Although all dealers pay the same price, big dealers get volume incentives that small dealers don't thereby making the unit more expensive. Also not all dealers have the same overhead, so even at the same cost the net varies. This is what happens when one buys on price alone, this buyer becomes fodder to the unscrupulous salesperson (not saying that yours was) you become another notch on his sales quota. Always take the time to visit the dealership and talk to the people there, this will give you a feel for how you may be treated.

To me this would be a big purchase also, and there were promises made, real and implied, that weren't kept, what is in the future if you need assistance or part breaks.

I think I would have contacted a local dealer, who may or may not be getting their Tractors and parts from the larger guys, but he is local, and if the price was there... you may not have had to wait as long. The local guy, if there was a problem, may have jumped right in and got it done because he wants to keep the sale, give a good impression to keep the customer and keep you coming back.

I don't mind a problem popping up at the last minute, but where is this BIG Inventory the Salesperson was using as his gimmick, either he doesn't have it or he doesn't stock the right parts, which is a BIG problem.
Some of the larger Stealership, focus on SALES, the parts and Service are secondary.

Did you go to the Dealership and look around ?

Did you see the Stock Room and is it BIG ?

I'm a critical buyer, not only in my determination to get a good price but in making sure if a promise is made it should, if at all possible, be kept.
I would have been all over him about what he promised, yes he didn't say exactly when he would deliver it but the FREE Delivery without a date gets the "IMPLIED Delivery Date" of when the Tractor get to the Stealership, so all attempts should have been made to get it to you as soon as possible and if not then you should have some sort of reprisal. Oh ya, you already signed the paperwork !

When I start getting reason after reason why the Tractor isn't being delivered, I start to think, "Did I make a mistake in buying from this Stealership", "Will they be there for me when if I need parts"; too many questions start to pop up.

The BIG question is, is this Dealership too BIG ?!?

I know it is me but the sales of the only two tractor I have owned have gone smoothly, delivered on time as stated they would be... AND purchased from local suppliers.

Have you got it and is it working ok, no leaks, running smooth ?

I agree with the general consensus, that you are maybe getting too worked up, and that the salesman seems to be doing the best he can under the circumstances. That said, I can empathize with your agitation over the continued delays in getting delivery of a brand new machine.

The one thing I can tell you, is it is even more agrivating to take delivery, and then find you have a bunch of issues, and your machine has to go back to the shop, where it sits in line behind a bunch of other tractors, waiting to be repaired. That is not fun.

Sometimes I think the worst. Maybe because I have been naive in the past. My first thought is nothing is wrong with it they are stalling. You could check it when it is delivered to see if it was worked on.

If it is the one high volume dealer that I have read about on here I have heard nothing but good things about them.

If there is anything about the deal that is particularly important it is easy enough at to simply write it in the margin of the sales contract and both seller & buyer initial & date it.

That came about because the last time we bought a tractor I looked over the sales contract - which included the warranty - and was disappointed that it was so biased. Every item in there protected the dealer, but very little protected the buyer. I figured it should be more 50/50 and the dealer agreed. So we changed a few things. It's an easy & apparently legal way to add any additional conditions that both parties agree to - and avoids problems.

As an example, I was concerned about who was resonsible for trailering the tractor for any warranty work, so we put that all right on the sales contract.
Next time I buy I'll probably add a reasonable "loaner" provision in case of lengthy warranty repairs... or maybe simply agree to add that time onto the original warranty. Possibilities are endless.....

Let's be honest. For most of us this is an expensive purchase. Spending that much money we want to play (I mean work) with our new toy (sorry, I mean piece of equipment). It's like watching the guy in the ice cream shop make yours. It's only fast enough when you are watching him make yours. As my wife says "patients is not a virtue I was blessed with". As for after sales experience, I'm sorry if they feel a tractor is a tool for a farm and dents happen but I expect them to treat it like they would my car. Yes that takes a little more work but not so much that it adds to their costs. I don't think offering a 10% discount on parts for a customer is out of the ordinary either.

In the ag business commercial users get priority service, especially during planting and harvest time. Crops need to be planted and harvested at a certain time or they go bad. It sounds like the dealer is doing their best to get you the tractor in working order. It is frustrating but you need patience.

Also I have never had a tractor or mower delivered. I transport it myself. I go to the dealer, check out the equipment, if everything checks out I load it up, and bring it home. If something is wrong it stays there till they fix it. The dealer gets payed when I pick it up. They have incentive to get it ready on time.

Also, please let me know if it comes off like I am bashing anyone, I purposely didn't put the dealership since I am still trying to figure out if me being upset is warranted or not. I would like to edit my post if it seems like I am bashing them because that is not my goal.

You mine messaging me what dealer was local and which one you bought from and your price break down? Im coming from NY and looking at few placed in PA to purchase.
