Should I buy new or used Grand L60

2014 model might not have the emission controls so that’s a major bonus. Sounds like the machine is like new condition. If it was stored indoors and no critters have nests in it you might have a real gem.
The main difference between the Lxx40s & Lxx60s was the tier 4 emissions. Any 60 regardless of year will have pretty much the same emissions gear.

Can't improve on what the others have said, so I'll address ballast box vs wheel weights. We have SCUTs, CUTs, UT an old Ag with combinations all configurations. My favorite all around configurations is filled tires with wheel weights or cast centers. I have an 1100+ pound implenent on all the time. A ballast box is fine for loader work, but when you are using a ground engagement implement, you will appreciate the added traction of weights or cast centers.

plus filled rears or wheel weights put the ballast at a lower center of gravity making it safer on slopes.
filled rears are a must for my utility work

When did they put in the DPF? On the M59 the last model year for pre Tier 4 was 2015. For 2016 it went final Tier 4 with DPF and they rebadged it M62. I assumed it was similar for the other models.

All Kubotas (most tractors for that matter) change based on model number not year. There are only minor engineering revisions in a given model, nothing major like different emissions systems. Most of the 25hp or higher models changed to new models around 2012-2015 as the tier 4 compliant models came in.

Fallon,
My model and the replacement were both produced in 2014 . Mine phased out, new MX phased in that same year.

According to Peter at tractor data, your model, same engine as mine w/ more turbo boost, had EGR as emissions control for the entire later run of the series ending in 2015. Yours and mine were Interim Tier IV.

There were some left over M-59's still avail in early 2016. The M-62 model was late to arrive in the US. Fall of
'16 as I remember. I wanted one till I saw the price. I could by a JCB, more hp (74), cab w/ HVAC , more front and rear capacity, more hyd flow (21 gpm) for same cost. JCB. 3CX compact, 4 wheel steer and drive, 25 mph road speed.

Everyone thanks for your Input. I am going with the used one. 12k buys a lot of implements and the dealer is hooking me up with 6 mo warranty.
The tractor does have the typical fade from the sun, I feel that is Kubotas down fall. My 3030 had faded within 18 months. Tires are in great shape, the whole machine is great. My primary use will be for snow removal, thinking of getting an inverted snow blower but not sure and a pusher box. And some yard work on my properties. Not sure on a backhoe just yet, I had one on my 3030 was great but I think if I need one rent a mini for the amount of use I will use it. I am leaning towards somr sort of weight in the tires and a box scraper over a ballast box.

Agreed - Only problem with JCB is lack of 3PH and PTO

Make sure you can drive through AND plow all the snow before you get an inverted blower. My old L3200 had issues driving through a foot of wet snow, much less plowing. I haven't had issues with my L4060 yet, but I occasionally have a 6' drift to dig out in front of my barn door to get to the tractor out. Colorado gets a lot of wind with our snow. The resulting drifts aren't conducive to an inverted blower unless you have a much bigger machine anan any L. Other environments are different though.

Do yourself a favor and take a look at the Kioti line up before deciding.
