Should I buy new or used Grand L60

Do yourself a favor and take a look at the Kioti line up before deciding.

Regards, Fred
I wont disagree, except to say the whole Korean fleet... LS, TYM & Kioti. I didnt look at Kioti because the only dealer in Colorado didnt have any remotely in my target size in stock. The other Koreans they had were decent machines & cheaper than Kubota. HST+, a dealer 15 minutes away (much bigger & more dependable on parts too) & general trust of the dealer won the fight for Kubota. My wallet paid a steep price for that victory though. The Koreans were good contenders & likely to he s better choice in many other circumstances.

FWIW- I was in much the same situation except I purchased the Kubota on eBay. It was a five year old 2007 Grand 4240 HSTC with 39 hours. The wealthy owner kept the tractor in a horse barn and used it to smooth the indoor riding track. The tractor is now 11 years old with 640 hours and has given me zero problems. I must say that at age 71, this is one of the best deals I ever made, and I most likely could sell the tractor for equal to or more than I paid. In other words, when I no longer need a tractor, I'll get my money back.

I recently purchased a new 3560 HStC tractor. Mostly.....I wanted a cab tractor for so many reasons....weather, clean air, AC/Heat, and Hornets and Deer Flies have gotten to me too often.

I owned my old JD 3320 for 8 years (bought a like new but used tractor) and put 500 hours worth on the clock, and I figured I just about got my money back on the trade.....less some costs of repairs along the way.

There was a very comparable (L3560hstc) tractor near me that was a year old and had few hours on it. I could have saved perhaps $5000 on it......HOWEVER to get it up to what I bought I would. have had to get the tires loaded with beet juice, add two valves and the rear remotes, buy a new grapple, third function kit, a radio, block heater, and I would have lost a years worth of warranty. (maybe a few other small issues).....plus hauling. AND, would have had to sell my old tractor.....and did some hauling. The issues involved in getting those items I needed likely would have made the two tractors so near a comparable price that I figured it was not worth it. Plus my local dealer may not be as receptive to taking care of me??

On my old 3320.....the tractor had every item on it I wanted for options......and I saved 10K over a new one. That was worth it. You just gotta compare apples with apples.....and consider your time and the hassle factor. Sometimes a genuine deal can be had.....other times a guy wants what he wants.....and those tractors are harder to find......especially if you want a cherry used one. ;).

Reminds me of a sign on my dad's office wall....years ago: "If you want good clean oats.....you must pay a fair price. However, if you can be satisfied with oats that have already passed through our horses.....well, those come a little cheaper". ;).
