Should I sell my brand new b3030?

Ok, you guys have convinced me! Seriously, I appreciate the advice above. The keeping it for a year and seeing how much I use it makes a lot of sense (and helps justify what I really want to do). And I hate changing attachments too, especially the bachoe - actually, changing 3 point stuff on the 3030 has been pretty easy with the way they have the 3 point set up. Probably easier still with the HF Quick hitchs that finally arrived.

Sugarloaf - will do that after thanksgiving. I'm very pleased with all the mods, especially the seat. Haven't used the 12v yet in truth, but I'm not worried - it was cheap, and I use the one in my car all the time - I'm sure I'll use the tractor one.


N80, that's just a cruel thought! And Hunterridge, I confess I do wonder if I should be getting a skidsteer instead... I think the L4740 makes more sense though, and looks like it'll make a decent TLB if I can put a bradco 611 on it.

I love having two tractors. I leave the mower on one so I don't have to deal with it when I change implements. The little extra maintenace hasn't bothered me since they have been so reliable. If you have room to store it, you may want to try if for a while.

Charles, call the cat dealer in milford, rent a 277 track machine for the bull work. You can do seasonal rentals & they are great people to deal with! Get the big projects done with the cat & you will have the B to maintain. You know how i hate the B3030.

I would like to have 2 tractors. Hate to change attachments. Main reason for buying a dedicated mower.
If I had a hydraulic driven PHD mounted on a FEL. I would not get rid of it until every hole was drilled. The B3030 will get in much closer and will be easier to maneuver than the L4740.

the bigger tractor is pretty big for an island that you could drive across, with said tractor in about hour.

If I were you, I would keep the 3030 and get a full size backhoe.

Look around for a used full size backhoe. Should be able to get one for 20-25k in good shape. Does not matter which brand. Case, John Deere, Cat among others all make excellent full size backhoes. Do all your major jobs with this machine. It will work circles around any CUT. When finished your projects you will be able to sell it for close to what you paid for it and still have your like new 3030 for maintainance.
