Think of all the money your saving doing that your self! No telling what a shop would charge you to do that job!

Jammer.... A fair number of hours to get to that point and I found a bunch of other little items I want to tidy up....but it does beat having the dealer do it and sure beats the price of a new one. Because of the height, this is all the bigger I can go and get it in my garage. Wanna see what the guts of your tractor look like?

hey stomper where did you get your parts from? I think my buddy and I are going to try this front diff ourselves... the dealer told me it would be at least a grand to repair... ouch.

Messicks....but only because of time. My local NH dealer I've developed a great relatoinship with. I'm only going online because of my time. I needed to order in the evening and because of busy season at my work with harvest coming up.....can't get there when they are open. Also......shipping was cheaper than sales tax.

Messicks has all of the parts diagrams online also. Usually offer great service to me also.

Found a few small pieces of metal that had migrated towards the portal/brake assemblies. So that housing came off to get cleaned out. Overal, it all looks pretty good. No real other damage. Just trying to make sure that I can get all of the metal out.

$558 in parts and $180 worth of hydraulic oil and things are going back together. Both shafts are back in, the axle assembly is back in and the tire is back on. Transmission cover is on and I'm pretty much ready to put the top cover/hydraulics back together. Taking my time and things seem to be going pretty smoothly.

With harvest coming up, work has me 80+ hours per week. It's tough to find the time for the garage.....but we are getting there in small chunks. More pics to come.....
