The range of movement on all pitman mowers is 35 below horizontal and 35 degrees above horizontal. When you get out of that range, the pitman will get in a bind and break. Beltdrive/dynabalence mowers have a range of 70 degrees below horizontal and 90 degrees vertical. That setup you have will save time by not getting off the tractor to put in transport position. Keep a eye on your sickle when you go vertical for transport, the pitman mower sickle can sometime drop a foot or so and would be easy to unknowingly, hang in the ground. Ken Sweet
